Jenny Weber is the first Environmentalist of the Year awarded by the Bob Brown Foundation. For more than 10 years the Huon Valley Environment Centre has been at the forefront of defending Tasmania's native forests and their unique wildlife. Jenny Weber has been the key campaigner behind the decade of forest defence and she needs your support in what is a critical time for these ancient ecosystems.

Jenny Weber is a volunteer. The centre receives no government funding and relies solely on the generosity of individuals like you to continue its important work. Now you can help financially support Jenny Weber’s dedication, courage and campaigns for the forests.

Ta Ann, the Sarawak based logging company has moved into the state. It has an appalling record of displacement of native people and environmental destruction in its Malaysian home state. Now it has become the major driver of logging here in Tasmania.

The HVEC and Jenny is particular, has been one of a handful of campaigners and organisations willing to take on this powerful company.

To continue our great work we need more funds, to give Jenny a well-earned wage to continue her successful work.
