'Outline' is the story of a grieving young artist who seeks redemption in an unlikely place, her loved ones crime scene.
Visiting the last place they were alive and using her craft as a coping mechanism , this artist expresses her unconditional love through a unique passion-driven project.
Obsessed with perfection, she’s determined to create an accurate representation, but is faced with a number of obstacles that will ultimately put her willpower and artistic skills to the test.
This is a very personal film that explores how art can be used in a way to re-connect to lost loved ones and immortalise their memory.

The Team
Our team is comprised of dedicated and passionate West Australian filmmakers who have collaborated on projects together for years. From music videos, to short films, commercials and features the 'Outline' team is full of some of the best emerging talent in Perth.
Our Director of Photography
Ryan Svirac is a trained and experienced photographer / cinematographer. Ryan has a Double Major in Film & Photography at Edith Cowan University and a Masters in Screen and Communications at the WA Screen Academy. He has worked on award-winning short films, documentaries and also has credits on major networks and public access television.
Our Composer
Behind the original score is award winning composer Mark Holdsworth. Mark is already in the process of creating a contemporary, classical score using piano, percussion and strings. Mark has been awarded the 2014 Dorothy Ellen Ransom Prize for his symphonic poem, ‘Odyssey’. In 2015, Mark was selected to attend the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra's Composer's School in June, where the orchestra will workshop, perform and record Odyssey for ABCFM.

Creating the beautiful art piece featured in our film is the incredibly imaginative Steve Browne, a renowned player in the local street art scene. He has painted murals at venues throughout Perth and overseas. We are extremely excited to have him on board.

How The Funds Will Be Used
'Outline' was successful in receiving Raw Nerve funding from the Film and Television Institute of Western Australia, this was a grant of $4000. Most of these funds have been committed to cast and crew wages. The funds raised through this campaign will go toward:

Film festival submission
Marketing
Getting this extra money means our film will able to reach an international market, through a variety of film festivals. We believe this is a strong story that has the power to connect to audiences on a universal level.

The Challenges
Like all short films, we have a team behind us working tirelessly. The money they earn is no where near the time and energy they put in, so the biggest challenge is making it worth their while. This is why we need your support in funding a crucial part of the filmmaking process. Sharing our story with the world!
We have some very technical scenes that require extensive preparations. Our team is already testing out sophisticated set pieces, complicated musical compositions and more to ensure that each element of this film comes together seamlessly.
