Fergus HogarthThis is such an important topic to explore. My dad suffered from depression his whole adult life and attempted suicide in the 1950's by slashing his wrists in the bath. My mum, his then-fiance, had a feeling something wasn't right that day and made an unscheduled stop by his flat and found him. She was a nurse. He managed his depression with medication and lived into his 70's. He worked as a phone counselor at Lifeline in the late 1980's when there was much less awareness about depression and suicide. Now I have kids and I hope they never become part of the awful statistics regarding young people and suicide. Good luck, and thank you. FHH13y

Yvaine StarfallPlease support such an important cause. So many of us have thoughts about 'how do we go on' at so many times in our life. Too many more people feel so upset of hopeless that they act on this thought and take their lives. Help can be given. Depression can be overcome with the 'right' help. Please support this venture trying to bring this issue to light and maybe, just maybe, with enough awareness we can obtain the funding this killer issue needs to save lives. One day it could be you, your parents, or your kids feeling this. Act now as if it is. Thanks.13y
