What is the Project?
Thanks for taking the time to call in and look at our project. Just to know you are interested means an awful lot to us. We're asking you to help Sydney Vocal Project (www.sydneyvocalproject.com) record their first CD. Sydney Vocal Project is a contemporary chamber choir that is relatively new on the Sydney music scene, but already we are becoming known for the high quality of our music, as well as our ability to tackle challenging and unique music arrangements.
We have booked the recording studio for two dates in June and we plan to record a full CD worth of songs (we have enough songs for two CD's). We want this to be an exciting moment for a cappella music in Sydney. Singing mostly without the 'safety net' of musical instruments, we can't wait to get started. Now we need your help to make it happen. Every pledge, no matter what size, will bring us closer to a CD you'll be proud to own. This group is the brainchild of Jim Catt, a 30+ year experienced harmony singer, teacher and conductor, who has had a life long yearning to create a special group such as SVP.
After just two years on the Sydney singing scene, SVP last year won 3rd place in the finals of the Sydney Choral Eisteddfod.
We are a community-based group focused on musical performance at the highest level, and made up of dedicated auditioned singers, some of whom travel over 150 kms to sing with us.

Sydney Vocal Project members have already committed part of the funds required to record our debut CD. Now we are asking for your support to bring this project to reality. We have a fabulous range of rewards to thank you for your support for our project.
