My name is Joel Burzacott
I am a student currently in my Final year at JMC ACADEMY Studying Film and Television, and this is the Campaign for my Graduate Project called "LOSER". This is my final project at JMC and i decided to make this film as my FINAL PROJECT.
MY STORY
I came up with this idea when I was still in High School. I was apart of the school Rowing Club, and for Training we would have to sprint up a Long and Terrifying hill known as Longreach. As i was one of the weaker Rowers, i would watch as my crew and friends would run past me really quickly leaving me in the dust. Even though i made it to the top of the hill it made me feel small, but mainly it made me feel like a weakling. It wasn't until one of my coaches told me that it dosnt matter if you're the top dogof the group. He told me that the only thing that matters is that you try you're hardest to get to the top, and to him people who work hard and continue to work no matter how much pain they go through are the true Winners.
I still remember his words to this day, and i have worked my butt off in making this film in order to have my audience feel the same way i did when i heard those words from my coach.

TO PUT IT SIMPLY
LOSER is a Sports Drama based on a young man determined to defeat his deceased older brothers record on sprinting up a large and treacherous hill in order to honour his brothers memory.
THE SYNOPSIS
DAVID is a young and powerful sprinting athlete whose older brother who he idolised, dies from a heart attack whilst reaching the top of a treacherous hill. Stricken by grief for not being strong enough to save his brother, David makes a vow to himself to beat his older brothers time. After several months of training without any progress of beating his brother’s time the grief begins to weigh him down, and he begins to start seeing the ghost of his brother, making the challenge even harder for him. It isn’t until David has a sudden realisation that he gains the strength and will power to defeat his brother’s time.

We cant make this film alone. Thats why I NEED YOU'RE HELP!
We have already organised a great cast, beautiful locations, and on point scheduling!
NOW ALL WE NEED IS YOU!
All we need is $750 to make this film. This money will be used for the following.
CATERING: We cant work on an empty stomach! Thats why a large sum of the budget will be spent on food and water!
ACCOMMODATION FOR CREW %20 ACTORS: The filming locations are in my hometown BALLARAT! But a lot of my Crew and Actors live in Melbourne! So the budget will be going towards hotels in Ballarat.
FILM EQUIPTMENT: Although we already have the equipment supplied to us by JMC, we need spare batteries and memory cards to ensure we get as much filming done as possible!
SAFTY EQUIPTMENT: Equipment such as witches hats, bright yellow jackets, and walkie talkies when working on the open road are vital to ensuring proper safety procedures when working on open roads.
FILM FESTIVAL SUBMISSION FEE'S: I know 50% of the budget going towards Film Festivals seems weird, but film festivals require a submission fee. Thats why $375 of the films budget will be spent on the submission fees.

With you're help all of this will make the production stage of this film a lot easier. And if we EXCEED our budget than this will allow us to submit this film into MORE FILM FESTIVALS. Thus allowing our film to be shown to a larger audience.
The major challenge will be blocking the open road that we will be filming on.
The City Council of Ballarat have already been contacted and we are awaiting for further information.
