We have an amazing individual supporter who just loves our plans and wants to match every dollar! This means our goal is halved. We can do this people. Let's go.

We need more space to keep making learning fun, for more people in Latrobe Valley.
The Traralgon Neighbourhood Learning House has been serving the local community for over 35 years. We run over 60 classes and over 500 people come through our doors each week.
We want to offer 'hands on learning' activities and we don't have the space.
We have two new projects this year: The Latrobe Valley Community Shed and Digital Shed. Both projects are about learning by doing.
This hall and abandoned tennis courts will allow us space to expand what we offer to the community.

We are involving local secondary schools in our projects and they are enjoying participating in the wider community. We have people who want to participate and are waiting for a venue.
We have the opportunity to lease the VRI Hall in Traralgon for 10 years if we can do some maintenance on the building. It needs the roof replacing and the damage from the leaking repaired. There are also some cracks in the walls.

If we can get this space, we have plans for a Community Garden and Kitchen.
We want to use the space for all kinds of tinkering, recycling and making projects.
We can run activities that require space.
There is a STAGE!! Think film/music/drama/dance/performance!!
The old clay tennis courts are fenced off and provide good space for raised garden beds.
This location is perfect for us. There is a carpark surrounding it. It is a footbridge away from the train station giving access to people throughout the Valley and Gippsland ( those connected to train anyway!).

The building is old, but beautiful. We hope to restore it to it's former glory and bring it back to life through community usage.

The Challenges
Ongoing viability of the projects - We hope to offer many courses and services to the community that will help with the sustainability of our projects and more importantly our community.
The Traralgon Neighbourhood house has a great track record of managing resources and remaining viable.
Many people have gained the skills to get work, start enterprises and improve their enjoyment of life at our place.
The hall is currently rented out to the public for parties and music events. We expect we will be able to continue to receive this kind of income.
We charge fee for services such as memberships, services, courses, events and products.
Gratitude! and the warm glow of knowing you've been generous and kind. + You'll get updates about how it's all going.
Every bit counts and your support is much appreciated. You will receive a warm welcome and invitation to drop in and see our place you helped secure for our community.
