Ally is a teenager who finally after summing up some courage, comes out to her parents about her secret relationship with Kirstin. It doesn't go down well and Ally breaks down emotionally. To let it all out, she writes a poem to her beloved Kirstin. In that beautiful poem, she makes a bold decision for the both of them. Will young Ally succumb to pressure from her family and the need for social acceptance? Or will she follow her heart?
In each of my films, I try to
explore at least one particular emotion and one specific theme. The link
between these two, forms the basis of my stories. With my first short film 'RGB', it was 'desire' and 'beauty'. With my second short film 'Dread',
it was 'fear' and 'freedom'. With 'How I Wish', it will be 'love' and
'social conformity'. With New Zealand recently legalising gay marriages,
and Australia under pressure to follow suit, I believe this little
short could not have been made at a better time.

Very much like
'RGB', which told a beautiful story in a poetic style, I want to make
'How I Wish' equally soulful but more intimate/observational. This sets
the bar high for actors' performances. I am very happy that
Melbourne-based actresses Ella Cannon, Chanel Kennedy and Louise Bremner have taken up
the challenge and I am certain that they will deliver note-worthy performances.
'How I Wish' will have a lot of handheld cinematography which we believe will invite the viewer into the moment and share the emotional experience of the characters on screen. A powerful voice-over combined with a serene background score from Alex Khaskin, I am sure that with the dedication of my talented cast and skillful crew, 'How I Wish' will be a romantic and memorable little short film.

Fortunately, the cast and crew have been kind enough to volunteer their time and equipment for this project. The money raised through this campaign will be used to cover the following expenses:
- marketing materials
- postage/delivery of rewards to our Pozible campaign supporters - YOU !!
- all remaining money shall go to film entry fees for national and international film festivals (25+) during the remainder of the year.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR REWARDS
1.Rewards will only be delivered if the project campaign is successful. The Producer (or a nominated representative) will then get in touch with each eligible pledger in regards to their choice of discounted service(s). After confirmation via email, the relevant discount voucher shall be emailed to each eligible pledger. It is then the responsibility of the pledger to contact the business directly for their service.
2.In case of discounts for ‘Custom cakes’ or ‘Photography services’, choosing multiple rewards of the same value does NOT permit the pledger(s) to combine discounts towards one particular service. Each discount voucher is valid for use in a single purchase only. For example, 2x $50 pledges are rewarded with 2x 30% off cakes discounts. Customers are not permitted to combine both discounts in one purchase, i.e., 30%+30% = 60% discount for one purchase is not allowed.
3.Delivery of discounted services is subjected to availability. Upon receipt of discount voucher, supporters are required to check directly with the relevant business as early as possible in regards to the finer details on their order(s).
4.Contact details of the relevant businesses shall be emailed with the discount voucher. The email address the pledger provides during the pledging process shall be used in all correspondence. The Producer nor the participating businesses shall be held liable for any missed correspondence leading to a failure in claiming the discount before its expiry. Pledgers must contact the Producer directly by 30.06.2013 if they have not received their rewards.
5.All pledgers and recipients of rewards of 'Associate Producer' and 'Executive Producer' titles are not granted any power or authority in any decision-making process concerning the production. The Producer reserves the right to make all final decisions in regards to the production and shall be the sole copyright holder of all material, performances and the film.
6.In the case any reward(s) cannot be delivered as promised, the Producer shall arrange for a reward of equal value to be delivered to the respective pledger.
