Heroes 4 ASPECT is about raising awareness of those living with and affected by autism and other spectrum disorders. Since my godson was diagnosed with autism my eyes have been opened to a world I had heard of but simply didn't understand. This has changed. I am now aware of a world within our own that is amazing yet confronting, beautiful yet often scary. It parallels the world I used to read about in comics and revelled in as a kid so many years ago. I have made it my mission to pay hommage to this world, these heroes and the ones that have inspired me to be a better person by creating a calendar and coffee table book featuring everyday people painted up as characters inspired by the iconic superheroes of the comics so many of us read.

So why am I crowd funding? Well I have the vision and I have the talent to bring these heroes to life but what I don't have is the funds to hire people to capture my creations in the perfect environment & to create a product that will be of the quality that hundreds upon thousand of people will want to buy and read, sales of which will in turn go towards helping the schools and communities affected by autism & other spectrum disorders all the while educating people on these disorders and helping them to understand how something that is so common in this day and age needn't be so shrouded. I see Pozible as a platform to help me make a positive diffence in the world I am living in.

Funds raised via Pozible will go towards paint, studio hire, props, photography & editing fees, publishing and printing. The total estimated required budget is $16, 960.

My project is now at the point where I have a crew of photographers, studios and models on standby excited to take part in this project I wish to create, all of which have their fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed that I get approved for funding and meet the target set so we can make this dream a reality! I shall continue to do test runs until I somehow find the funds to create the real top quality product.

As for my experience in this field, I have always been an artistic person and since 2007 have been doing makeup, sfx and costuming as my chosen career. In 2010 I decided to venture out on my own and set up Katastrophic Events in which I specialise in SFX makeup, face & body painting and character transformation. I have worked on numerous projects in film, TV and magazine photoshoots.  Examples of my work can be found at http://www.katastrophicevents.com.au my website which I am currently building myself too.

I have created mood boards and done two quick test runs to get an idea of how long to allow for each shoot which I am happy to share.
