ABOUT
Founded by Amanda Cumming and Kate Reynolds, PAGEANT is an independent Australian menswear label. The fashion design duo have worked for a number of contemporaries including cult Australian label Perks and Mini (PAM) and London based designers Tim Soar, Christopher Kane and Christopher Shannon.
With a tongue-in-cheek intention of paying homage to the everyday man, PAGEANT repurposes casual sportswear for a defined yet youthful silhouette. Each menswear collection focuses on the combination of unusual fabrications and textures encompassing a modern and futuristic feel. Working under the umbrella of a multidisciplinary practice PAGEANT's work is often viewed as blurring the lines between fashion and art and have collaborated with the likes of Lucy Schroder for SHOWstudio, HTRK, SIBLING, Visual Aids for DIS Magazine, Antuong Nguyen and Maximum Rim. PAGEANT has been featured in numerous publications such as Manuscript, Champfest, Dazed Digital, Hypebeast, Slam X Hype, WAD, Oyster, I HEART and Broadsheet and was nominated as a finalist in the 1hundred designer competition on LOOKK.com.
Entering into the realm of womenswear, PAGEANT asks for your help to fund this anticipated launch. We kindly ask for your donation to our Pozible project to support the local fashion industry and an Australian made product.
FUNDING
The money raised from the PAGEANT Pozible project will fund the production of a Spring Summer 13/14 sample womenswear collection. This will also include the production of a photographic lookbook shoot, short fashion film and the development of a new webstore.
