"Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the one thousand small uncaring ways."  Stephen Vincent Benet

We are seeking patrons and supporters for three things: To redevelop The Hamlet Apocalypse in early 2011, to collaborate with Zoe Keating, Dane Alexander and Lyndon Chester to create an original soundtrack for The Hamlet Apocalypse and to create a video and marketing materials in order to tour The Hamlet Apocalypse internationally.

The Hamlet Apocalypse began development in January 2009 in Boston, USA in association with The Factory Theatre while The Danger Ensemble were on a break from the Who Killed Amanda Palmer tour. Later that year, La Mama in Melbourne, Australia picked up the work for the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2009.  The Hamlet Apocalypse played a sell out season over the duration of the festival and was met with critical acclaim including a 5 star review in The Age. Subsequently The Danger Ensemble independently produced the work for a highly successful season at Adelaide Fringe Festival 2010.

The Hamlet Apocalypse is a dystopia of the now generation, it is a silent party, a desperate plea and a rambunctious prayer.

6 actors stage Hamlet on the eve of the apocalypse. As the line between fiction and reality blurs; the actors, their characters, and their worlds collide and are distilled into the simplest of human states. The Hamlet Apocalypse is, quite simply about humanity, the power of death and the value of life.

"The Hamlet Apocalypse proves the experience of theatre can be something we can not explain and something that defies mere words." Aussietheatre.com
