ABOUT THE FILM
"The Hunters Club" is a gun toting, fist fighting, skateboarding comedy/action feature film, shot in Queensland, Australia during August of 2012. A rough edit is finished and pick-ups are scheduled for the first week of June.
Featuring music from Shinobi and the skills of longboarding legend Stephen Daddow, this is an independently funded Australia action film. In fact, we recently had a short article written for SBS films which you can read here.

THE $$$ AND SENSE
With the film already shot, why do we need your donation? Because we need to get a few additional things shot to make this even better, specifically $3600 for 2 days hire of an Octocopter. This will allow us to get mind-blowing aerial shots of some key longboard/chase sequences.
Of course, that's just the start, and the more money that is donated, the more time and effort we can put into putting the finishing touches to the film.
ACTION WITH A SPIN!
One of the unique aspects of this production is that it will showcase the lesser known sport of Skateboard Longboarding for some of the action/stunt sequences. Longboarding is an offshoot of street skating, with riders using a much longer board. With the right setup, a longboard can give the feeling of surfing on hard surfaces and even allow the rider to achieve speeds exceeding 100kph (60mph).
THE CAST
TY HUNGERFORD
Born in Gibraltar, Ty is an Australian/Texan who has grown to follow in the footsteps of his father, 1950/60’s Film and TV star, Ty Hardin. Living between the Gold Coast and Sydney, Ty is dedicated to the entertainment industry and loves getting involved with the indy film market.
Already Ty has featured on both the big and small screen, having secured roles in ‘Underbelly’ and ‘Home & Away’, and more recently feature films ‘Bad Karma’ and ‘Deception’.
As well as his extreme professionalism, Ty brings an infectious enthusiasm to the production that is sure to translate on screen.

NICHOLAS GUNN
Nicholas Gunn has worked professionally in the entertainment industry since 2005 – appearing in programs such as ‘Neighbours’, ‘Satisfaction’, ‘Thank God You’re here’ and ‘Offspring’.
More recently, Nick has completed work on two feature film, ‘The Dream Children’ directed by Robert Chuter, and Jonty Reasons’ ‘City of the Damned’.
Cheeky, charming and lovable, Nick is a great addition to the cast and an actor who is definitely one to watch.

BRAD McMURRAY
With a career that spans more than 20 years, Brad has breathed life into a hugely diverse range of characters. From recurring appearances in ‘BeastMaster’ and ‘Sea Patrol’, through to starring roles alongside Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta and Cuba Gooding Jr., Brad’s professionalism is well renowned.
This professionalism, however, is only one of the many skills that Brad brings to this production. Being adept in Martial Arts and stunt work Brad is most definitely a powerful performer.

ASHLEE LOLLBACK
Gracious, gifted and engaging are only a few of the many word being used to describe Ashlee and her ability. Having captivated audiences with standout theatre performances as Miranda in ‘The Tempest’, Ashlee reprised this role, along with many others as one of the touring actors for the Shake & Stir Theatre co.
Many more productions, and several short films later, Ashlee is set to bring her special blend of innocence and strength to this, her feature film debut.

LAUREN JACKSON
A professionally trained film and television actor, Lauren has dedicated herself to the perfection of the craft. With an extensive background in dance, a passion for stage acting and a solid background in commercial, editorial and print modelling, Lauren is able to bring a level of physicality and passion to the screen that many can only hope to achieve.
HOW LOW CAN YOU GO!
As with many independent productions, we are working with the constraints of a very low budget. Despite this, we are doing everything we can to make sure the final product will look and feel anything but low budget.Firstly, we shot on the RED Epic (the same camera Peter Jackson used for 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' as well as the soon to be released Pacific Rim and Elysium) Also, to help give the film a truly cinematic quality, we used Lomo Anamorphic lenses. As you can see from the trailer above, it really has helped to lift this above the usual look associated with 'low-budget action'.
We are now well into post-production, and any extra money that we get over and above our target will help go towards music composition, special effects, sound mixing and colour grading
