CLOUD FUNDING A PREMIERE FOR THE UPCOMING CASTLEMAINE STATE FESTIVAL!
'Go on, ask me about the weather.'

#wanderingcloud brings forth the cycles of rain as they transform from the haze of summer to furious battering on a corrugated roof, diminishing into meditative droplets. A multi-arts collaboration that pays homage to those affected by flood in Central Victoria, #wanderingcloud speaks of the importance of collective experiences within small communities.

With local performance artist Klare Lanson, Brisbane-based Clocked Out Duo, Castlemaine songstress Andree Cozens and Bendigo-based artist Jacques Soddell, this semi-improvised work finds lyrical beauty through the use of toy instruments and discarded object percussion, spoken word, mobile phone tones, soundscape, song and filmic vignettes.

Offering a reflection on place, the trickle-down effect picks up artists along the way: The Octophonic Frogs with their unique form of swamp jazz, Neil Boyack’s stormy guitar and Kathrin Ward’s riveting performance art.

We presented a very successful showing of %23wanderingcloud at the iconic Theatre Royal in Castlemaine, and we have now been invited to showcase the work over three nights at the 2015 Castlemaine State Festival in March. So happy!

We're very excited to be part of the 40th year celebrations of the Festival and will be presenting a 3 night season at the Castlemaine Woolen Mill complex, a large warehouse space loaded with history and a beautiful connection to place. It's the perfect location for #wanderingcloud! It's a blank canvas of huge proportions and we need your support to transform the space into a captivating performance experience. Light and live image mixing will create beautiful ambiance in the space, working perfectly with the semi improvisational structure of the performance work. GOLD!

The Pledge goal of $6000 will be used to cover the costs of:

- Design & Production elements.
- Costume, Props and Set.
- Live Sound Mixer
- Related costs for 4 x 1 day film shoots (supported by Filmview).
- Rehearsal and costs associated.
- Topping up of Artist Fees (11 performers in total)

Any funds raised over and above the goal will help offset some of the losses used for supporting the location performers and cost of printing the #wanderingcloud image & poetry book available for sale at the event (proceeds to go to the artists). Here is the cover:
