Resonance is a short film by emerging Australian
writer/director Lachlan Linton-Keane. Lachlan is currently studying at Griffith
Film School in Brisbane and has put together a crew of young talented
filmmakers to tell a powerful story.
The very core of Resonance is the connection between Emily and her partner, James. This bond of love mingled with grief, will resonate with audiences of all demographics and backgrounds. There is no greater human connection than that of love and loss.
The shooting dates are the first few weeks of July and the film will be shot in a variety of beautiful locations throughout South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, such as the stunning Glass House Mountains and the Mt Warning Caldera.
Upon completion, Resonance will tour that national and international festival circuits. To succeed at this level, the film will have a serious focus on production value. This is why you, our incredible supporters and backers are so important. Without crowd funding we will be unable to truly tell our beautiful narrative. Without the support of each backer our film will not succeed.

How The Funds Will Be Used

PRODUCTION DESIGN
To create a truly immersive experience for the audience, Resonance will have a key focus on production value. From Emily’s bow, to the stains on her travelled boots; all props, costumes and set dressings will be intricately designed to achieve the organic aesthetic that the narrative demands.
LOCATIONS
The backdrop to our powerful script will be the stunning landscapes of South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. To film in these beautiful locations permits must be purchased and environmental bonds paid.
CAMERA, LIGHTING AND GRIPS
To transform these beautiful locations into the landscapes of Resonance, our talented cinematographer will require a range of camera and lighting equipment and consumables. High quality dollies and jibs will be essential to the fluid style of camerawork, enhancing the compelling narrative.
CONSUMABLES
Some of the most vital elements in the filmmaking process are the most mundane. Our passionate crew and production vehicles will require sustenance; this means food and fuel.
POST PRODUCTION
Colour Grade Suites and Mixing Studios are an essential element of the final phases of Production to prepare the film for the international and national festival circuits.

One of the main challenges of Resonance, is that the world of Emily's subconscious and the Hospital scenes must be unique. To ensure this is clearly communicated, we have spent an extensive amount of time in Pre-Production developing two distinct aesthetics for each world of the narrative. These aesthetics are created through a combination of contrasting cinematography, colour palette and overall Production Design. This once again highlights the importance of our incredible backers. Without your support we will not be able to obtain the gear and resources that creating these two aesthetics requires.
From a practical perspective, shooting in such beautiful locations can create many potential challenges. Fortunately our Pre-Production team has been planning extensively; applying for permits, sourcing equipment with portable power supplies for remote locations and devising safety protocols to ensure the well being of all cast and crew.
