Hi, my name is Laura-Doe Harris. I work as a sexuality educator, empowering people to connect with and enjoy their bodies, creating more fulfilling intimate lives. 

The Art & Science of Female Arousal is my new 75-minute documentary, jam-packed with ground-breaking information about the female body's elegant design for pleasure, arousal and self-healing. I believe it will make a real difference in many people’s lives, helping them create more loving relationships with themselves and others. It’s nearly ready! It’s been filmed and edited, and looks awesome. Now I need your help getting it out to the world.

There’s an amazing orchestra of arousal structures and potential within the female pelvis, but sadly, most of us have only learnt to play one, maybe two, of our instruments!

Limited sex ed at school and discomfort at home stopped many of us learning about crucial differences between men and women and the ways we get turned on. When people are embarrassed to talk about sexuality, it can be hard to find what you need to know. Many of the issues my clients have are simply due to this lack of understanding about how the female body actually works.

Research shows that dissatisfaction in the bedroom is one of the leading causes of relationship breakup. In the past decade scientists have discovered much new information about a woman's body and brain that offers a fascinating map of her natural pleasure potential. I began sharing this information in workshops and was consistently blown away by the response.

I want to reach more people than I can in person, all over the world, including people too shy to attend a workshop. I've distilled the information in my seminars into an entertaining movie, packed with humour, music and lots of practical tips and exercises. It will be an invaluable tool for couples and singles, schools, parents and practitioners. Treating the subject with sensitivity and respect, I avoided using graphic images that may alienate some viewers, instead employing diagrams and anatomically accurate Vulvalicious® cushions for demonstrations.

A small team inspired by the vision has worked hard alongside me to get this far. Now we need your help to raise funds for post-production, manufacture and marketing of a DVD, creating a website where the movie can be downloaded in various formats, and to pay the musicians for their fabulous soundtrack. We will employ a professional marketer to make a real impact, changing the way people relate sexually by empowering them with this information. We intend to educate the educators by getting the DVD into schools.

Marketing - $7,000 - We will hire a marketing professional to ensure we reach as many people as possible with our launch and our promotion. It will have a fantastic impact on how effectively we get the movie out to the world.  We will create a JV launch and aim for a high first day ranking on Amazon as well as purchasing small print ads, online ads, social media and email advertising.

If we raise more funds we'd love to go for adding subtitles in different languages, creating a workbook to go with the movie and starting work on a second movie. There is always more to learn!

The classification board may not give us the rating we are hoping for to allow the video to become available for high school students, in which case we will have to review and re-edit the material.
