'The Ultimate Injustice is that we don't know how wonderful we are'

The Injustice of Injustice, Leonie Blackwell

Are there recurring themes in your life that you just don’t get? Have you ever wondered why things happen to you, your friends or family? Have you tried to put the jigsaw puzzle of your life together and somehow all the pieces don’t quite fit? These are some of the questions we ask because hardships and setbacks are experienced by us all. They often feel unfair and unjust rather than opportunities to grow into our best possible self.

In Making Sense of the Insensible Leonie Blackwell gives us fresh insight and understanding into these difficult and often painful and unfair events. Instead of seeing them as a series of random occurrences that buffer, anger, victimise and overwhelm us, she invites us to embrace them as part of the rich tapestry of our lives; as lessons to learn and grow from.

The book explores ten injustices that can occur in our childhood, as adults or run throughout our life as a recurrent theme. They are often the events we spend a lifetime trying to make sense of. The lessons of injustice come to us in three ways – how we treat others, how others treat us and how we treat ourselves. Regardless of the source of the experience the goal is to embark on the journey of transformation and empowerment.

Making Sense of the Insensible provides a practical explanation of the injustices and what lessons there are to learn from each. Using real life examples and information derived from years of hands on experience, Leonie opens our minds to new and exciting perceptions of the meaning and purpose of our lives.

'We feel frustrated and impatient by the ‘ordinariness’ of life. The daily grind doesn’t feel intense enough for us.  We seek aliveness through dramatic experience'

The Injustice of Emotionality, Leonie Blackwell

For the last three years I have been working with clients using the content of the book to help them heal their issues. In 2012 I began running workshops exploring each injustice as discussed in the book with a focus on creating opportunities for participants to heal the issues related to the injustice discussed.

The App, Tap Bullies Away,  was created to help people recover from the negative effects of being bullied. The injustice of intimidation relates to the theme of bullying but many of the injustices explore the ways in which interactions with others leaves us feeling powerless and vulnerable.

I attended the Hay House Writers workshop in Sydney in August 2012. By attending this workshop everyone was given the opportunity to submit a book proposal. From that proposal I was contacted by Balboa Press, the self-publishing arm of Hay House to have my book published.

So what now? I need my Book Published, but I can't do it without the help and support of you. Self-Publishing means, Self funded too. Here is the transparency of it all:

To self-publish I need a total of $14,072  That means editing and preparing the book for publishing as a paper back and e-book publication.

While the book is being self-published by Balboa Press I have been given the opportunity to have the book distributed through Hay House.

I have a great opportunity to have my Book distributed via 25,000 book sellers world wide with intentions of a  major media promotion, which includes, an Interview on Hay House radio and Video about the Book.

I am asking for support to raise $7,000 of the $14,072 needed to make this Dream a reality. All my Years of experience and work have now lead me to this point, and now I invite you to be part of the journey with me.

'The lesson of the injustice of vanity is for us to embrace our whole self, accept our imperfections and know our worth simply because we exist'
