Leviathan is an evocative Gothic psychological drama film about healing and reconciliation in the wake of family abuse.
The Film:
Following the death of his father, an emotionally deflective son returns home to reconnect with his mother, all whilst reconciling with his dark past and unexplainable visions of a giant sea monster.
Starring Australian actors Jacob Collins-Levy (The White Princess, Doctor Who, True History of the Kelly Gang) and Amanda LaBonté (Neighbours, Wentworth, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Leviathan depicts the complicated problems that arise from domestic abuse, the complex process of grieving those that caused us pain and the value in facing the uncomfortable truths that haunt us.
This is a Swinburne University graduate project made entirely by students and emerging artists.

The Cast:
Jacob Collins-Levy is an Australian actor. On television, he is known for his role in the Starz series The White Princess (2017), and the Netflix series Young Wallander (2020) and The Witcher: Blood Origin (2022). His films include True History of the Kelly Gang (2019).
Amanda LaBonté is an Australian actor. She is known for her roles in Neighbours (2022), Wentworth (2015) and on stage in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2019). She is co-founder of Geelong-based theatre company Essential Theatre.
