Hench - Post Production Support
So what is Hench about? Hench follows a pair of charismatic, but very ordinary Henchmen. Despite living in a world of Super Heroes and Villains they are caught up in the same domestic problems as the rest of us. These men are never humanised in films, always seen but never heard. Hench aims to give them a voice. Whether they have anything worth saying with it or not is still up for debate.
FROM THE WRITER: Hench started as an image for me, two oafish mates carrying a coffin through the woods. I couldn’t help but wonder who these men were and how they had found themselves in this position. I realised they were the help, the muscle, and that I had seen their kind on screen again and again and yet knew so little about them. What we might learn if we’d listen? I love films that take me to a world far from everyday life but tell a story that is instantly recognisable and relatable. It is my hope that Hench takes audience members to this world.
