'Loading...' Short Film

Vixen and Ice Queen are the kid’s top-ranked digital assassins in the hit combat game PRETTY LETHAL. They are built with control, confidence and perfection. When the game glitches, the duo find themselves dropped into the real world, where they’re stripped of their powers and forced to face the most horrifying upgrade yet, humanity. 

As they try to navigate their way back to the game, they stumble through the chaos of reality, bad lighting, insecurities, unsolicited opinions and emotions... lots and lots of emotions. It’s unstable, unpredictable and deeply overrated. Unlike most who long to escape the screen, these women know the truth: humanity is the real game and it’s a losing one!

We’re a small QLD team bringing our passion project LOADING… to life. An action-comedy packed with striking visuals, sharp humour and two badass female leads who glitch out of their perfect digital world and land in reality. It’s bold, funny, and unlike anything we’ve made before.

What makes this film special is the crew behind it. We’ve gathered an incredibly talented team. Director Alec Schultz, DOP Jake Koning, plus stunt, makeup, sound and a fantastic production crew, many of whom usually work on major productions but are joining us simply because they genuinely love the work they do. Everyone is coming on at collaborative rates, driven purely by passion and the desire to create something visually epic.
