Hey Everyone,

We’re Vaudeville Smash, an independent band from Melbourne. We’ve been together for three years and in that time have released three EPs, played countless shows, toured relentlessly around Australia, built up an amazing and loyal following and have done it all off our own backs.

We need your help…

We’ve been invited to play the South by South West (SxSW) conference in Austin, Texas and Canadian Music Week (CMW) in Toronto – this is a HUUGE opportunity for us. These are two of the biggest music conferences in the world. The “who’s who” of the industry will be there – every record label, touring company, booking agent, music blogger – and we need your help to get there.

Countless bands have been discovered there and this is an amazing opportunity for us to be discovered too.

On top of this, we’ll be playing shows on either side and in between the two festivals, from LA to NY.

The timing is perfect…

We’ve spent the last year recording our debut album, which is due to be released April 2013. Every spare penny and spare moment has gone into making this record and we’re extremely proud of it. We’ve already released a single off the album. Check it out:

We plan on releasing another single before we head over there. The timing is perfect, as we’ll be able to showcase our album and play in front of the people that matter.

Getting there ain’t easy…

Australia is a long way away – getting over to North America is going to take a whole lot of effort and a big chunk of money, which is why we’re running this campaign. Pozible is a crowd funding initiative and a way for independent artists, like us, to achieve our dreams. All money raised will help with the trip’s many expenses:

· International and domestic flights for 5 band members and a sound engineer.

· Accommodation for all of us in the US and Canada for two and a half weeks.

· Backline and instrument hire.

· Ground travel and car hire.

· And all the other things you don’t really think of but mount up – like hiring a publicist, performance Visas, travel insurance, business cards, demo CDs, and the list goes on…

By the way, just wanna mention that we don't actually get paid for the shows we're playing overseas.

This trip will cost in excess of $20,000. We’re looking for a portion of this ($12,000) to help ease the financial burden. The rest we’ll take care of ourselves. If we're lucky enough to raise more than our goal, it will make this tour just that little bit easier and we'll put the extra money to good use.

Not just a hand out…

But we’re not asking you to give us money for nothing! No matter how much you donate, we’ve come up with some pretty amazing rewards. All supporter packs are inclusive of postage Australia wide so make sure your address is correct.

For digital packs, we'll need a current email address so we can send through the tunes.

If you're an international fan and need us to post something overseas, please add $19(AU) to the price of the reward so that we can get CDs, Tshirts and Vinyl to your door.

For correct Tshirt sizes, we'll send you an email in April to suss out your measurements.

We are aiming to officially release our new album in April 2013, so if you order a copy, we'll have it to you before the release date. So that's a PRE- RELEASE copy, how cool.........
