Luke Lukess

Hi, i'm Luke Lukess and i'm a singer / songwriter from Bowral Australia.
My passion in life is songwriting, performing & playing guitar.



Starting at the age of 12, I have performed 1000's of shows throughout Australia and made my international debut in 2010 in the UK.

I guess I am best known for my song writing and being the front man for alternate rock band My Future Lies / Acid Eyeliner. I have performed on MTV, The Apprentice (Nine Network) and more recently 6 tracks I have written were showcased on MTV's reality series Freshwater Blue.



All this while constantly touring with the band, playing more than 450 live shows and sharing the stage with other bands such as The Veronicas, McFly, The Living End, Evermore, Art vs Science, Short Stack & more.



I have written and recorded 2 full-length albums and 2 solo eps released in 2010 and 2012.

I am a dedicated guitarist and can play all styles of guitar which has generated session work all over the world, including trips to the UK and New Zealand. Frequenting shows such as Hey Hey its Saturday, X Factor, The Today Show and Sunrise are now part of every day life.

I have also played more than 1800 shows in the cover scene as a guitarist.

Most recently I have just completed a national Australian tour with Harrison Craig, playing guitar backing for all his shows.



While hard working and writing simple songs with meaning develops, I have also been able to hold onto reality as an independent artist and stay in constant contact with fans via social media.

While independent, record sales have seen releases compete with the big boys including a number 5 spot on the Aria independent charts in 2010 for the album ‘Chasing The Moon’.



I am now keen to work on my next project. An album titled 'Time Capsule', this will be a re-recording of some of my previous songs as well as three new songs. Work has started on this project and I have a couple of recording sessions remaining to complete this task.

The total budget for this project is $10,000. We're asking pledges to help with 50% of the total costs. ( $5000 )

* Artwork / Design $500 ( of $1000 )
* Pressing CDs $1000 ( of $2000 total )

If addition money is raised, excess funds will go towards the costs of a music video ( $5000 )

There is no risk to this project. The beauty of crowd funding is giving fans the opportunity to take ownership of the project and help it succeed. If the target isn't reached, the money is NOT collected and no one is out of pocket.
