The eight compositions of the 'Aeolus' suite represent my latest and best work in the field of musical composition. 20 years of continuous effort in this area have finally delivered me a series of pieces which I believe to be of high quality.
It is my great desire to share these pieces with the public, firstly in recorded form, and thereafter in concert in late 2014.
The 'Aeolus' suite is named after the mythical Greek god, the 'keeper of the winds'. Throughout the suite, a Mediterranean flavour suffuses the harmonies, rhythms, timbres and most of all the melodies, in a way which is at once ancient and contemporary. The writing of these pieces has been a personal journey into my own mysterious cultural heritage as well as a kind of Ulyssean journey into life's many twists and turns.

I believe that this suite is at once highly accessible, but will greatly reward further listening. Exotic harmonies, exciting percussive rhythms, subtle forms that grow imperceptibly, intricate counterpoint, glowing and vibrant textures, memorable melodies- these are the things with which I love to fill my music. I have striven to write pieces which are unique and highly characteristic- which are satisfying in their resolutions, and yet which prompt further questions and inspire deep emotional responses.
