Why farms and puppets?
We want to make the series about real Australian life and values to the backdrop of beautiful landscapes and wildlife. We believe that by using puppets, we'll be able to connect to a broad and diverse range of people, no matter what their age or background.
What's the story about?
The story will follow Baz and Snags as they learn about life on a farm, when they have to take care of Grandpop after he injures his hip. Baz was originally working for his father in the city, but didn't mind the move to the countryside after he found out his father wasn't the "true blue" businessman he thought he was. On their journey, they meet a whole cast of family, friends, pets and animals (both puppets and non-puppets), such as the cooky grandmother, the wise but annoying cockatoo, Grandpop's nurse / Baz's love interest, and many more.
The drive behind the project:
In 2009, I gave up my career in radio broadcasting and overnight decided that I would become a puppeteer! Since then, I’ve created my own successful puppetry business, which gives me full-time work (www.puppetoodle.com).
When I was a little kid, all I wanted was to create my own show - and now finally, at the age of 27, I am making my dream come true. All I’m asking for is a little bit of extra support and help to fund this project to reach its full potential.
What we’ve already done:
Last year I came up with the idea for the webseries because I wanted to create a family-oriented series that summed up all the things I am so proud of about living in rural Australia. Now, through puppets, I can share all these important and beautiful things with the world.
With only an idea, I had my whole family, partner and friends all getting behind me and helping me make this amazing project a reality. Together we have already spent countless hours designing and making the main puppets, brainstorming and writing ideas, songs and scripts, filming the intro sequence up in Queensland, editing hundreds of hours of footage, and more!

Personally, I have already invested a lot of my own money and dedicated myself to this project for over 6 months and at times, worked on it full-time. I did this because I know this project will be amazing and I believe in it with everything I have.
We're currently in pre-production for the pilot episode, and we hope to complete the first season this year.

What we need:
We're not after any money for ourselves, but we'd just like a just little bit of funding to create more puppets, backdrops, props and sets. It would also be really great to have some travel funds to get us back up to our friends' Chantel and Jason's sheep farm in Queensland for filming! The more funds we have, the more awesome we can make the show! By contributing to this project, we promise we'll share as much of the fun with you as we can!
