Having played some packed out rocking gigs on a recent tour of New South Wales, and garnering interest and invites from places like Scotland, England, Austria, France and Czech Republic, The Dead Maggies are going to Europe!
But there's a problem - they have a heap of contacts around UK/EU ready to book gigs for them, but scraping the coin together to fund their airfares is hard for a 6 piece band of beer drinking vagabonds. We're playing gigs and selling CD's and pulling together some good old fashioned treasure but we need your help!
Any donation you can chip in would be more welcome than a bottle of port to a dying sailer, more welcome than an unwatched boat for an escaped convict, even more welcome than the last kiss of a loved one. Well... maybe. It would be very welcome anyway.
Please make sure we can fly to Europe and spread Tasmanian tales and explosive punk shanty's around the world. - Love - The Dead Maggies
PS. To all Tasmanians: As an added bonus, sending The Dead Maggies to Europe, means that you won't have to put up with them around Hobart for several months! That means that other bands might get to play at The Brisbane Hotel, if these drunken stagehogs are out of town.
How The Funds Will Be Used
The funds will not be used to purchase beer (as illustrated in the video below).
The Challenges
We may occassionally drink to much beer. But we have emergency response plans in place for this.

Drinks for the band
You get us drunk... I know the donations go to our airfares, not our beer, but as a thank you for donating to our airfares, we will buy our own beers. We will get a photo of us all drinking a pint/can at the city/gig of your choice whilst we are on tour in Europe and email it to you with an exclusive thank you message.
We will write a song of a topic of your choice (needs to include a dead person, preferably Tasmanian). We can email it to you first, and include it on our next release.
