Meatspin Records is an Australian independent record label releasing tapes, records and print material based around new Sydney underground artists, established in 2017. Through events and releases, its goal has been to highlight and encourage new contributors to the Sydney underground music community. To date, Meatspin has released:

Several new releases have been confirmed for 2019, but due to all of them arriving concurrently (and external cashflow problems) we're unable to front the costs to get these releases to you on time. This crowdfunding campaign enables us to get all the new releases to you ASAP, but is not a charity! Rather than rewards and fundraising for releases that don't yet exist, all releases have been recorded and are close to complete - purchasing through the crowdfunding campaign operates instead like a bulk pre-order.

Also available is the unlikely one-off angel investment to cover the entire costs of these releases and get yourself free access to every show and release from here on in; one off angel investments if you don't want anything but are full of financial pity; and the chance to have an entire zine researched, written and printed on the band or topic of your choice by the author of 'I'm in Strife; I Like Low Life.'
Budget Overview
The cost price of all three tape releases comes to approximately $1000, while the Basic Human 7" cost price is approximately $1500. We've set the target lower as any injection is incredibly useful and we hope to have some cash on hand to tip in on top of whatever's raised. Anything that comes in over the budget will be used to both subside retail costs, and to fund future Meatspin releases by new Sydney bands.

Xilch Tape
Pre-order of MTS@@6! Xilch are a brand new Sydney band featuring members of Diat, Rapid Dye, and Perspex, and their first tape shows all the power and scope of what you'd expect from that lineage. One of the most intense bands playing in Sydney right now, they strip mine sounds from Flipper, No Trend, Wipers and Stick Men With Ray Guns for a destructive and nihilistic take on contemporary Sydney punk rock. Nothing else quite like it!

Enderie / Call Compatible 'Valued Mutuals'
Pre-order of MTS@@4! Enderie is Andrew McLellan (Cured Pink). Call Compatible is Del Lumanta (Basic Human). They are two of the most prolific electronic artists in Sydney's contemporary underground music community, and have come together to release a split tape called 'Valued Mutuals'. Both sides have a playful approach to dance and electronics that move between repetition, unexpected interjections and the sense of humour that underlies both their practice and their friendship.
