So, a few years ago I made an EP - North.

People who heard it, liked it. Things were going ok. But then some stuff happened. I took some time to figure things out again, and eventually, just like Stella, I got my groove back.

Last year I did some gigs. I played some new songs that I'd written - and people really liked them. But when people asked it I had made an album... I could only point them to my EP (North).

Late last year I ran into the guy who produced my EP. I mentioned that I was thinking I was ready to make an album. He said yep, he was bang up for it. But then he pointed out that making something decent can cost a pretty penny... and thats when I discovered crowd funding.

The album

All songs on the album will have been written, or cowritten, by me. There will be about 12 tracks... and here are some demos that will be reworked to sound even spiffier:

For anyone who's been to a gig, most of the songs will be familiar, but there are one or two newbies fresh out of the can aswell. Sad songs, love songs and flood songs - it is a country album afterall!

So how can you help?

I've done my time down in the coal mine a-savin', but now I come cap in hand to friends and passers-by to ask us all to join hands to make this project happen. 

I've set the fundraising goal round the five grand mark, which is just under half of what I'll actually need, from recording to printing. A leg up, but not a handout.

But its not like you won't get anything in return, I've tried to come up with different options for different kinds of folks. At the very least you'll get the new album, or for some other lucky types I'll write you a song and come and sing it at your place!! And for those wondering what kind of song I could ever write them, well, just quietly, I wrote a song for a friend's child's naming day - and the crowd were in tears! Good tears! They'll happily give a reference if need be.
