Welcome again to Pozible! Ready to make a new album? I'm back in the saddle after these old wirey years, hasn't it been weird!  So many ups and downs but the time has come though to make a new record, and this one will be a whole other realm of making to my previous ones.  My past few albums have been solo, me and guitar.. but this time I'm going lush and collaborating with Jonathan Zwartz on pulling together a kaleidoscope of sounds... So far we have made the bed of the record with Jonathan on bass, Hamish Stuart on Drums and Bill Risby on keys and accordian, with myself running between my classical guitar, banjo, mandola ( a lovely one made by Peter Coombe of Bega), a rather ratty but nice 12 string guitar and to be done.. some tremolo electric...lots of harmonies,  as well as my voice of course.  Then on top of this delicious collection of sounds I will have guests such as Colm Mac Con Iomaire, The Ocelots, Two If By Sea, Donal Black... well a few treasures I have met along the way, who I can gather to finish off this recording and make it really special.  

The songs?  I wrote them over the past four years so they travel through moods... I seem to have a love of trees so there are a few written about being in wonder at the world around us - one written in the car while waiting for the girls to come out of guides when the sky was almost green with twinkling stars.. that one is called Midnight Mermaid Blue.  There is a sultry one from the perspective of a traveller to somewhere, i don't know, could be Morrocco could be down by the sea anywhere warm and delicious.  There is a holding song for friends who've been struggling.. maybe for myself as well, a checking in one on banjo.  There is a slippery country classic inspired by a phone call to the marvellous Jackie Marshall who turned my longing into a country love song.  And one from a venetian bathroom one lonely night on tour when it all just seemed a bit impossible.  Also! If Bob Dylans girlfriend wrote a song back to him, there is one of those too,

So please come along on this record journey, everyone who joins in will be included and thanked in the liner notes of the CD and Vinyl, It is actually impossible to make an album nowadays without the assistance of crowdfunding so thanks so much for coming along for this record making adventure, thank you number one music lovers!

I don't actually pay myself with this crowdfunding, this helps me make the album and print it so then I come out there to you and play concerts and be paid.  The time I spend writng and recording and producing is unpaid for myself, but I need to pay everyone else properly!  This is a big project for me, to step out of solo album towards full production with full band is massive!  And to budget for clips by a professional is also so needed, to really send these songs out there dressed as well as they can be.
