grant smithThe contant display of footage of me (grant), is making me sick. Mick cummins has refused to remove it. It keep me awake at night,anxious and depressed. The only relief from this pain is sleep. This is only the beggining as mick continues to lie to me and deceive me. If this doco is published further and in full I will take my own life. Death is the only way I can escape into peace to be free from this nightmare of mick puplishing personal and private info gained in trust and displayed with out my consent. Only suicide will bring an escape from this omnipotent, omnipresent nightmare. This is torturing me.12y
grant smithThis is not a good project, mick cummins has gained the trust of people and with plenty of promises. For example to entice vunerable and stressed people to be filmed he said that they had the right to withdraw at anytime and were under no obligation to continue. He has refused the will of people wanting to withdraw. Further, any footage that made the subject feel uncomfortable, selfconscious and or vunerable the footage would also be removed, this has never happened. Any attempt to withdraw completely or in part have been met with hostility.
Originally mick cummins worked at southport community housing as a "social worker","housing worker". This is how he gained peoples trust. During this period he wanted to make a documentry showing the positive changes renovations would make on peoples lives, exclusivly for Southport residents. The documentary was entitled " A place to call home" Southport community housing gave Mick Cummins significant financial assistance.
At one of many times I wanted to withdraw I explainedI did not want to be in the public eye including being on sbs or similar. He explained it was for a limited market only, for use by housing and social workers. After seeing the web promotion the reverse of Micks comments seem to be the case. I have asked mick cummins to remove content of me from the web, he has not complied.
The scope of the production has changed and evolved so much that is is not exclusivly about southports residents, and he has changed the name to "homeless". The change in the name and the scope and the material covered means that all bets are off! mick is only doing this for his own fame and glory at the expense of marginalised,down and out people.12y
