Help me make the leap into the professional photography market with a new camera!

Photography for me has always been a gracious hobby - taking me to places I never thought I’d be to capture things I never thought I’d see. It has always been a means to share my adventures and things I find beautiful to the public - especially nature, the unexplored, and stars in the night sky. However, due to the limitations of my current third-hand entry level camera and its ever deteriorating sensor, the quality of the images I am able to capture is limited. As a student filmmaker, it is difficult to devote extra money to a hobby - but with your help purchasing a new camera I am able to take a big step to not only provide you all with greater images to see, but help me obtain self sustaining video and photography work as well.

I am hoping to upgrade to the new Canon 7D Mk II. This camera will help me take a large stride towards achieving professional quality images (especially star images and videos as well), due to its high ISO rating, higher dynamic range, bigger resolution, and built in easy to use functions that ensure I don’t miss any important moments.

These camera bodies come with a price tag of ~$2000 which for a student is hefty sum, but collectively a very achievable purchase. Any further funds will be used to invest in further necessary equipment and lenses.
