The Embers are madly excited to announce that we have recorded our eagerly awaited debut album “Bright”! 

“Bright” is a culmination of kismet, mad jams, constant gigging and good times! it's the sum of our parts, traversing the sonic scapes of contemporary roots, melding reggae grooves, filthy folk, upbeat dance and dirty blues.
The tracks are sounding fresh, mean, fat and clean - we just can’t wait to share them with you.
We invite you to be part of the "Music Life" as we collect pledges in return for rewards, raising funds to cover costs for the artwork and replication, ready for launch in March 2015. :D



In April 2014 we traveled from Tassie to Bright Victoria and had the best time at the good ship Freeburg Station Studios with Captain Nicky Bomba (John Butler Trio, Melbourne Ska Orchestra) at the helm producing the good vibes and First Mate Robin Mai (Augie March, JBT, Nick Cave + heaps more) capturing the vibrations and laying them down.
Working with Nicky and Robin was a dream come true, they gave so much inspiration and creativity into our songs and music which really freed us up to dig deep and give it everything we had to produce the best album that we could.
The Embers are eternally grateful to Arts Tasmania for all its support with the grant that lead to the recording of the album.

We look forward to working with you on this project and also  bringing the music to life when we release the album and tour it nationally early in 2015. Thank you for all your support in the past and present as we would not be able to be part of this music life without you.

The projected $4,000 from Pozible funds plus potential $2,000 from Crowbar Tasmanian Arts initiative will be used for:

1. Art work - $500.
2.CD production $1,500.
3. Pozible and merchandise costs $1,000.
4. Management of National Album launch & tour $1,000.
5. Crowbar potential funds of $2,000 to contribute to production of music video to help promote national tour.

We're really going to struggle deciding on exactly what to put on the album cover, (there's five of us).
If we can raise the money to pay someone else to do it for us, it'll be good and no one can argue.
