The last few months we have been working hard writing tunes to represent our new soulful sound. Now all we need to do is record them... This is where YOU come in!
Up until recently we have been working primarily as an acoustic duo. We've decided it's time for us to branch out. This project will see us record our first full-length album, with a full band, live in the studio in ONE day. We're talking Drums, Bass, Keys, Horns and Backing Vocals. We'll be filming the entire session and releasing the videos for everyone to see!
Earlier this year we released our self-titled, self-funded EP "Mitch & Mike Gordon". This was our first original project that had come to life and we worked really hard to make it happen. It took much longer than expected to get the EP from our heads to your ears due to finances. Between the recording sessions, mixing & mastering, CD artwork and printing, it was a costly but rewarding endeavour.
In August 2014, we took this EP across the seas for our Mini Japan Tour, playing shows in Tokyo, Kyoto, & Osaka. We've always had a strong love for japan ever since working & living there in 2012, and wanted our music to reach japanese audiences. This too was self-funded and was a huge success! We met a lot of new fans and played alongside some other great bands so we're planning on touring the new album (once it's done) through Japan sometime next year.
We don't want you guys to wait as long this time round to hear our new songs so we've decided to start this campaign. We have plenty of great rewards up for grabs so please PLEDGE and help us make this album a reality!

How The Funds Will Be Used
Here is a breakdown of the basic estimated costs we'll be trying to cover:

The Challenges
The main challenge we can expect to encounter is not reaching the target amount. If this happens the album will take much longer to release.
Regardless of whether this campaign is successful or not, we plan to go ahead with recording and releasing this album.
Recording this entire album in one day could prove to be challenging, but we have a killer band playing alongside us so we aren't too worried.
