Ester Co. Further Filming
Hello Pozible Supporters,
A Pozible Goal
My team & I are looking to
gather the funds necessary to buy lighting and camera equipment to continue
producing episodes of Ester Co.
Ester Co. follows Gary & David, two best friends and loyal employees of Ester Co. as they curiously ponder the question one fateful day "What does Ester Co.?"As the following answer ensues, friends, employees and questions are all put into question.
The latest edits are rough without
any sound mixing or special FX. When completed it will look, sound and
ultimately be much better.
Upon completion we are going to submit to film festivals around the world.
Why We Try
Ester Co. is the first short I
have ever fully produced myself along with the unwavering support &
generosity of our friends, family and the team. The hiring costs of
lights,
cameras, lenses and microphones burnt a huge hole in my pocket.
I want to continue this(Ester Co.)
quality of work by having the necessary equipment at hand, I already have the
right people and without the right tools our artistic stride is stinted.
I have brought some great minds
and bodies from different age, gender, cultures, backgrounds together to
produce Ester Co. and we had a blast doing it despite the time constraints and
limited resources.
A Smaller Large Goal
I want to continue to meet with and work with new people. Within this start up
project a small hub of film makers and film goers alike has formed who all want to share their work with the world
The Director(James Vinson) and
Cinematographer(Charles Alexander) of Ester Co. have already
gotten me on to help them manage their productions and through them I have met even more film makers who I am due to work with too.
This network will grow and grow as
more and more people with the same goal in mind work together until a new world
of creativity is made.
It's a wild vision but it must
start somewhere and that could be with the support of Pozible.
To Make the Impossible Possible
The funding goal I am trying to
reach, will acquire my self and my team with the minimum equipment required to continue
making full episodes of Ester Co. with all the 'out of pocket' expenses going to feeding the
cast / crew and dressing of the world of Ester Co. the characters inhabit.
I am more than happy to take
donations of above equipment instead of money and will return any money not
required to purchase equipment.
A Reward To Thought
As well as the rewards for support and donation, I wish to open up my creative
channels to the funders helping us, the film makers. I wish to implement open
forums to anyone helping us to reach our fund goal, to give opinions, feedback,
ideas, ask questions, anything that will bring the creative energy to the forefront and
implement them into future episodes.
We will give an exclusive
screening of Ester Co. episodes to everyone who contributes to our fund goal before
revealing it at public screening forums
Thank you all for your attention
Kind regards,
Moe Hammoud
Meet the people behind Ester Co.
James Vinson - Director
When James isn’t taking time out of his busy
schedule to Direct Ester Co. he is studying at the VCA partaking in a
Foundations Course. I sought out James after seeing his work on Sock Doc at Top
Screens in early 2011 and had the pleasure of joining him at the St Kilda Film
festivals where he was a finalist for Best Youth Film Award. As well as bringing some of the most talented people I have ever met to Ester Co. he brought a directing style that says"Shut-up. I will make all of this look good" which is to say James is nothing short of a young powerhouse in today's industry.
James is currently
in the pre-production stages for a short film he is directing, "Cold Showers"
Check out Sock Doc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXMkVJAgGAM
Charles Alexander - Director of Photography
When Charles isn’t taking time out of his busy
schedule to assist James, which in turn helps our world go round by being our
D.O.P. Charles is studying at the VCA, Foundations Course.
I hit the jackpot as
Charles climbed aboard the Production train with us and delivered a visual charm and beauty to the Ester Co. universe with a cool that even James Dean would take his hat off to. Charles is
currently in the post-production stages of a short he has recently directed
“Effigy”, and is also working as D.O.P on “Cold Showers” with James who assumed
the role of D.O.P for Charles on "Effigy"

Marc Shuliga - Sound Technician
When Marc isn’t saying, “speed” and schooling us with his wisdom
on the set of Ester Co. He is playing guitar and composing beautiful music for
the masses. Marc is a man of many talents, a Musician, a Computer Engineer, a
Sound Technician, an editor, a great lover I'm sure of, among so many other things. Marc is a humble rock star
who brings professionalism to any work he does. Marc is always on a continuous journey to stay
relevant, keeping with current trends and learning new technologies that would
make modern day film makers raise their eyebrows in astonishment.
Marc is currently in the post-production stages of a 48hour
film festival. You can see his work at http://soundcloud.com/user1849298
Darius Family- Editor
Darius' work speaks for itself, from meeting Darius you will immediately know,
he is enthusiastic, smart, clever, handsome, witty and very talented all at the
same time. Daruis imprints himself into his work with a creative flair that is

job. You can

Gerard Mack - Music / Sound Design
I met Gerard after posting an ad on Starnow.com for a Sound Technician, and
until then I didn't even know I wanted a Musical Composer. One dose of his work
and I was hooked. Gerard brings all his energy to the forefront in his work and
in his personal interactions. Gerard plays it cool and never loses the flow in
his music and in his life. Armed with maturity and great respect, Gerard is a great addition to any team lucky to have him. Currently Gerard is working on musical ideas,
themes, atmosphere and Sound design as he eagerly awaiting the final cut of
Ester Co. so he can go the lab and concoct something remarkable. You can find

Christian Heath - Our Actor playing Gary
In the midst of his illustrious experiences being had in Melbourne, Christian blessed us with his talents when we were in dire need of a good male lead for Ester Co. Always dedicated and hard working, he always continues to try and develop his craft and bring his performance game to the next level. Christian is always eager to mesh with his fellow cast and crew on and off screen and this makes him incredibly effortless to work with. You can find Christian at
christianheath.wordpress.com

Luisa Tascone - Our Actress playing Serena
We had the privilege of seeing Luisa play both Serena and
Tina in the live script reading of Ester Co. in May 2011. Luisa is incredibly
versatile in her craft and this can easily be attributed to her openness and bold
personality. Luisa always brings a brilliant sense of humour to the set and
makes any set a joy from when Directors yell “action” and says “cut” This
combined with her professionalism makes Luisa Tascone a talent for the
ages. You can find Luisa at

Alison Adriano - Our Actress playing Tina
We were very lucky to work with Alison in the earlier stages of Ester Co.’s inception. Alison played Sarah and Dharma for us in May where we performed a live script reading of Ester Co. Alison is always working in the industry while at the same time keeping her spirit alive through exercise and social interaction. Alison has an amazing hunger for learning new things and expanding her mind and despite an incredible hectic schedule she found the time to work with us and deliver with dedication and finesse. Cat Commander - Our Actress playing Sarah
Cat Commander is never afraid to squeeze a role in between her
busy schedule and gee, are we thankful. She brought a professionalism that can
be put up there with the best of wall street and with a enthusiastic and fun
persona, Cat becomes a joy and easy to work with, with a coffee in her hand and
an action call Cat is good to go. I've said this before and I'll say it
again. Thank you, Cat, the time of work
was short lived but it was a huge pleasure and look forward to crossing paths
with you in the future. You can find Cat at http://catcommanderactress.blogspot.com/

Rupert Owen - My personal Mentor and Facilitator in production of Ester Co.
When Rupert isn’t imparting wisdom upon me, he is teaching all things Screen Media at Kangan Institute, writing scripts, blogging like crazy, making Steve Jobs proud as he eternally downloads apps to his Apple products while at the same time advocating Apple products and pretty much staying relevant in today's industry. Rupert is currently getting ready to leave for Spain in December as he also writes a script for an upcoming american music video. We wish you happy travels and all the best, Rupert.
