When I did a school assignment in year 10 on choreographer Christopher Bruce who came from the Rambert School in London,  I began to imagine what I would be able to do if I was lucky enough to go there; all of the opportunities that would become available, all of the people I would meet and get exposed to. Receiving an email at the end of June offering me a place in first year was like a dream come true.

Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance is "one of the world's premier professional dance schools both in terms of training and choreographic invention". It is one of only a handful that treat ballet and contemporary dance as full and equal studies. Marie Rambert, who founded the school in 1920, famously said her school was not to be, "a sausage factory". It has always been a place that fostered personal creativity, integrity, intuition, perhaps even quirkiness and certainly work of the highest quality.

To me, being able to dance is a gift. I wish that everyone could express themselves this way. It is the best way to connect with music. Everyday I learn more about myself through this beautiful art form, I cannot imagine life without it and I'll never stop trying to give audiences the same feeling I get from dancing.

So I am asking you to please help me raise part of the money needed so that I can begin the training that will ultimately lead to a career. 

My goal is to raise $5000. This will cover the costs of moving to London. Any money raised after that will go towards helping me pay for tuition and buy dance supplies such as pointe shoes etc.
