This new LGBTQI theme camp welcome friendly faces of the queer persuasion as well as their friends, family and allies to join us in making Over the Rainbow a reality at Burning Seed in 2016.
While our Wizard of Oz themed camp will start small, we have big dreams and need your help to make them a reality!
Our camp is a dreamy rainbow haven where we rest, recharge, and bond as well as party and we will aim to have a diverse group of adults of all ages, sexualities and gender identities. We will have daily entertainment including music, karaoke and other fun events.
Burning Seed is a regional event based on Burning Man in the Nevada desert. It is an experimental gathering dedicated to creativity, collaboration and a cash-free community — conceived, built, run and returned to nothing again by the participants. How The Funds Will Be Used
As it is our first year a large portion of our funds will be used to build our structure and decorating, and we hope that most of this will be used for years to come. Every single dollar donated will be used to fund our camp, our other expenses include truck hire and fuel, lighting, sound equipment and projector. We will also be gifting Cock Shots, Boobie Bevies and a few other surprises at our events.
The Challenges
Our main challenge this year is going to be funding our basic infrastructure in our first year. As well as the $1500 target from this pozible campaign we hosted a fundraiser to ensure we have enough to meet the basic necessities of our camp, and any additional money will be used to make our camp even bigger and better as well as stocking the bar.
