Ready to SwapShuffleShare?
Launched in January, you can find us at www.swapshuffleshare.com
Swap Shuffle Share’s mission is to
- encourage
neighbours and neighbourhoods to become more self-sufficient;
- engage with local communities through local food initiatives; and
- excite people to grow edible, enriching gardens.
Swap Shuffle Share was founded by Natasha Kuperman. Natasha is a keen novice food gardener: “Creating an edible garden has been such a rewarding experience,” she says, “but at times a frustrating one too. I created Swap Shuffle Share to support and connect people who are already growing their own food, and to encourage those who are thinking about it, to take action.” Now her unruly backyard is transforming into a productive garden.
Rich & Rewarding
Why is the Australian food gardening movement growing so fast?
People want to be more self-sufficient. People want to re-connect with nature. People want to be able to grow food varieties that aren’t available commercially. People want to experiment with growing food organically.
There are other reasons, too. For Natasha Kuperman says, “Hearing the delighted squeal from my kids when they uncover a strawberry in our patch, and being able to wander the vegetable patch to choose which vegetables to have with dinner are just two of the reasons I love food gardening.”

Our Pozzible Funds
So far this has been a completely self-funded project and I am now seeking support to help drive awareness of the Swap Shuffle Share website to a wider audience. The funds raised will go towards the production of a promotional postcard that can be posted to 100 of our existing members (in bundles of 50-100) cards to distribute to their local community - cafes, libraries, community gardens, schools - to get more people involved in our online community and more involved in driving the backyard revolution!
Any funds above our target will mean that we can look at increasing the postcard print run, expanding the distribution and consider producing posters to coincide with the postcard promotion.
All material will be printed on 100% recycled card with soy-based inks.
Here's your chance to help us!
Any pledge will help further our cause and grow our community - I hope you'll be a part of it.
