The GAME

Pocket K-9 is a game for Apple devices. (ipad, iphone and ipod).

As you can see in the video above, it is a gesture based game: Just like a real dog, you give it commands with hand signals (if you've trained dogs you'll know they respond to sign language as well as vocal commands).

The basic game features a Border Collie performing numerous tricks. For future versions of the game we will be adding, the ability to name your dog and the ability to feed, water and give your dog treats.

It is suitable for any age player (official rating is 4+). My 1 year old manages to enjoy it even though he can’t really draw gestures yet, and only accidentally gets the dog to perform tricks.

Unlike any other pet game that I know of, this game allows you to play with real, not cartoon or 3d animals.

Why are we raising funds when the game is already made, already approved and on sale?

Well, the game consists only of the Border Collie currently. We have not completed the other content, and as it turns out, training and filming live animals is incredibly difficult and time consuming.

It took 6 years to train, film and program the basic version of our game. It’s been a substantial investment for 8 people who love dogs. We believe this game will bring joy to people.

The funds raised here will go towards the production and additional programming required for the first downloadable dog, the Samoyed.

We are offering one person the opportunity to immortalise their pet forever inside the app.
