The Art of Perseverance
It's a project that studies how filmmakers in Australia persevere during the process from development through funding, to production, marketing and distribution, and beyond.
The average film takes seven years to make. That's a lot of perseverance.
Over 40 (and counting) of Australia's top filmmakers and industry experts have been interviewed as to how they persevered in creating their film.
These insights are being passed onto the industry at large in the hope it inspires current and future filmmakers in Australia.
The documentary and eBook will be out in 2015 initially via a film festival program, and released online via VOD.
We very much hope to attract broadcast interest.
A key element is an educational outreach program where we take the film to schools, and run a panel session with their alumni and learn about their Art of Perseverance.
The website acts as a free community resource, and as a forum for professional and emerging filmmakers, as well as industry professionals and in-fact anyone interested in entrepreneurialism, filmmaking and perseverance.
Enjoy and get involved. Go on, persevere!

How The Funds Will Be Used
All the pre production, the planning, all the filming of the interviews, filming at The Sydney Film Festival, printing of postcards, domain name registrations, travelling to speak at events, local and interstate, and much more.
This fundraising campaign isn’t an exercise in reimbursement.
Nor are the funds being used to pay labour costs.
All funds get re-invested in quality editing, grading, sound design, marketing, festival entries, eBook production, graphic design, and much much more.
