Dear WOOF! Supporters,

I can't believe it has been eight whole months since we reached our pozible target. It feels like we have accomplished so much and come so far since then. Thanks to your support (pledging money, spreading the word about our campaign) we have not only made a film but also formed an entire community of people who care about seeing female stories on the screen.

WOOF! has just had its world premiere in the ‘Best of Australian’ program at Australia’s Academy accredited Flickerfest International Short Film Festival. We were also extremely fortunate to win the Avid Award for ‘Best Editing in an Australian Short Film’. This was a game changing experience for me as a director and I can’t stress how grateful I am to you for believing in our story before we had even made it.

There are not enough female protagonists in cinema today. From the 250 highest grossing Hollywood films of 2014, females were only protagonists 25% of the time and only spoke 30% of the time. 

Rather than dwelling on these depressing statistics, we have decided to channel our energy into passionate and creative film making that will make a difference. We are making a controversial, provocative and empowering short film that focuses on the female experience during teenage hood. This film will break taboos, push boundaries and encourage girls all over the world to stand up for themselves.  

As women, we make up 50% of the population, buy 50% of movie tickets and we're 100% sick of the film industry misrepresenting us. Help us make a difference by supporting this film.

To get this project off the ground we need your help. To accompany our own saved funds for the film we need to raise an additional $5,000. This will be used to cover the following costs: 

Camera and Lighting $2000.00
Sound Department $1000.00
Production Design $1,000.00
Costume and Make Up $500.00
Festival Entries $500.00
