Dearest friends

Sometimes I wonder if this may not be my calling and I was really meant to raise alpacas in the country. That would be totally fine but If that is the case I beg that this dream make itself heard before I spend any more time planning world domination. 

If of course I am supposed to be singing I am hoping that this album be a catalyst for some sort of change whether it be that I am set up better to make more significant leaps and bounds to the next level of my career or that I can finally produce a body of work that I can be proud to tell the grand kids about. 

So before I resort to taking on a new career in alpacas I'd like to give you new fans and old fans who have been punching me on over the years an opportunity to be more hands on with your support and help by making sure my FIRST album EVER gets completed. They say if you're genuinely happy with what you've created that's generally a good sign and I feel that I have never been happy with anything I've recorded up until now. There have been some challenges and there are still some challenges that lie ahead but I would even take the liberty to admit that I am very proud of this body of work already and am positively dieing to share it with you.

At the moment I have pushed back the album release to early 2013 as basically as an independent artist I don't have the budget to do a few very pressing things that without them I cannot either finish the album or give the album the legs it needs to make some noise! 

These being the things and how much I need for them:

1. MIXING: So far I have only been able to mix 3 tracks off the album. I have 7 more tracks to complete mixing. It costs $650 a day to mix with 1 day needed per track. Amount needed : $4550

2. VIDEO CLIP: For the type of album I am making, which is that the music is intended to take you on a journey sometimes almost cinematic,  the need for viedo clips for the singles is paramount. Video clips are such a powerful tool for communicating ourselves as artists and helping to market ourselves to the greater online audience especially when Youtube/Vimeo clips go viral. Amount needed: $5000 (this may seem like a lot but to make an absolute get out of town music video like those big shot fancy artists you'd be looking a more like a $10,000 to $20,000 budget if that)

3. ARTWORK: I am working with the undeniably talented Vassi Dyulgerova (who took the above photo and many others you may have already seen) on a couple shoots that will be gracing the singles and album covers. We will also be working in collaboration with another friend of mine Nicholas who is one of the most amazing visual artists I have ever met. Together we will be coming up with mixed media covers which will also also be used in various media promotions for the album. These two are my friends and I know they are happy to do things for me for nothing but they are also professionals and I would like to treat them as such. Amount needed: $1000

Yes indeedy being an artist is very expensive business however as a (hopefully) realistic aim I am proposing to raise $4000 the next 2 months to help make up what I need. This my friends is where you come in. You can become involved in bringing my DEBUT album to fruition by making a simple pledge between $10, $15, $20, $50, $100 to $500.

Depending on how much you pledge you will be rewarded in the form of signed copies of the album, free downloads, exclusive gigs, limited edition singles, tickets to shows etc. Excited yet?!
