Taking inspiration from the horror elements of scream, the campy charm of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and the whacky personalities and visuals of scott Pilgrim. This film will have you laughing and screaming in equal measure. 

Synopsis:

Pursued by a fierce, bloodthirsty vampire drag queen and her werewolf pet on their quaritnine getaway, queer misfits Ocean, Mikki and Marcia must fight tooth and acrylic nail to survive the drug-induced night.

Backstory:

'Camp' is a passion project by Noah Cotgrove who wrote and directed succesful productions such as 'Ribs' and 'Kalopsia.' He wrote this film homage to the LGBTQIA+ community that he grew up in, especially the drag community. He knew when he wrote it back in 2022 that it needed it to be his grad film. 

"Unlike LGBTQIA+ grad films in the past, Camp is a celebration of Queer artistry by highlighting the sheer fun and creativity of it without the worldy hardships that surround it. Now more than ever, we need to have stories where characters and stories are just gay, no strings attatched. Let the gays be gay, Damnit!" - Noah Cotgrove

Fast forward to today and interest has sky-rocketed for the production with JMC's finest student producer; Cooper Haddon jumping onboard. In two weeks with the film being a meer whisper in the JMC Brisbane campus, 'Camp' managed to onboard all HOD rolls which are 90% queer and gained actor enquiries.
