There is an estimation of about 153,000,000 orphans worldwide. Some of these orphans have lost one parent, some both, and some are "virtual" orphans that have been turned out onto the streets by their families, but all are vulnerable and in need of help.




Everyone in the world has a dream that they want to achieve in the future and this dream usually starts from childhood. At such an early stage of life, most of the children have roughly known what their ambition would be. Some would want to be doctors, pilots, engineers or even firemen in order to achieve these childhood dreams they lean towards their first adult they take as a role model, their parents. These parents are able to support, care and guide the children until they achieve their dreams. Sadly, not all children are fortunate and along the way they lose the support, care, guidance and most importantly the hope they need to change their dreams into reality.




Therefore, as an act of human kind, let’s bring happiness and show that hope is still there to these children - by supporting these children through simple actions. This can easily be done through supporting their education, activities and food.






For Muslim people, there is HADITH about orphans showing how great is helping and supporting orphans:
Sahl ibn Sa'd reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I and the guardian of the orphan will be in the Garden like that," indicating his forefinger and middle finger.
The Hadith also shows how close the person who helps these orphans from our prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) in heaven.
Also, Supporting orphans education is considered as a good deed that will continue to benefit him/her and augment his/her record of good deeds, even after his/her departure as its benefits continue to reach others. 





This campaign aims to support the orphans of the House of Hope by Al-Khaadem Organization in terms of education and food. My teammate and I personally visited the House of Hope orphanage and met Sheikh Hussain Yee, the president of the organization and we were briefed about the orphans who were taken into the home.


There are about 70-80 orphans in the home with age ranges from 5-15 years old. The target for the campaign is RM2500 to help as many orphans in the house as possible in terms of formal education, skills acquired, activities and food.



                      So let’s start bringing them happiness & hope for a brighter future!

Experience

The funds raised (RM 2500) will be used as following:

RM 1500 for education:

- Education

- Acquired skills that will help them in the future; current project - farming


RM 1000 for food & activities:
- Meals will be prepared by the organization for children during Hari Raya Idul Fitri.

- Some outing trips will be arranged such as visiting animals in Taman Botani Shah Alam, rock climbing as shown in the pictures.

The main challenge of this campaign is to be able to run it successfully, by reaching my target and delivering the fund by end of July/2014. This could only happen with the help and support of awesome people who really have the care towards these children.
