Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and thanks to those who have already supported so far. It means the world to me.
I am, on the cusp making a big dream of mine a reality, my debut solo CD. Help me birth this beautiful collection of 6 new songs into the world and help my dreams come true.
I’ve made 6 award winning CD’s with my long term musical partner Carl Cleves, as The Hottentots – Carl & Parissa, but this will be my first solo effort and quite a change of direction.
Where the project is at now: “I have a dream…to finish this CD”... 1 of the 4 songs already recorded, ‘Sad Eyes’, has been mixed and mastered. With the funds to proceed, I’ll be able to finish all the 4 pieces already started and record the last 2 pieces, master, manufacture and have ready to release by mid 2013. Of course, my Pozible supporters will get the first pressings - the coveted advanced, autographed copies, plus many other rewards!
Your pre-release contribution will greatly help me to pay for all the outstanding recording, mastering, manufacturing and releasing of the CD.
The CD will be co produced by the talented instrument builder, musician, producer Michiel Hollanders at Smoked Sounds. I absolutely love the sound I’m getting with Michiel, who is playing saw, fietsband bass, velofoon, baritone guitar, doublebass... and the direction my original songs are taking.
Other great musicians featured on the CD already are Marc Constandse, bandoneon, percussion and Peter Haddock, guitars. Mastering for the first track, which appears in the above video clip, ‘Sad Eyes’ was done at Loud Studios in Amsterdam, by the formidable, Zlaya.
I’d like to pause to thank you for your support. Many of you have been there for my music and shows over many years and it is due to your support that I have been able to continue to develop and grow, for which I am eternally grateful. If you truly like what you hear, then I am very happy to accept your contribution. If it’s not your cup of tea, then please don’t feel obliged.
