OUR PROJECT

Help us send Australian Choreographer Shaun Parker and Dramaturge Veronica Neave to India for an international creative residency this January.

Together they will spend three weeks testing over thirty ideas at the Kishkinda Trust in Hampi, India, to dream up their next major cross-cultural collaboration.  

The objective of the residency is to develop a pedagogy for extracting movement from theories of evolution and anthropology.  Veronica and Shaun will work with a local performance artist trained in classical Indian dance, to examine the juxtaposition of traditional and contemporary movement forms.

Following on from festival dance hits Blue Love (Sydney Opera House), This Show is About People (Sydney and Melbourne Festivals) and Happy as Larry  (Sadler’s Wells London), Veronica and Shaun will reunite to weave choreographic forms, diverse musical styles, imaginative storytelling and theatrical invention.

After winning numerous awards and international tours, Veronica and Shaun are inspired to make their next tour de force for Australian audiences…but they need your help!

Support award winning Australian theatre makers Shaun Parker and Veronica Neave and the  continuation of their dynamic partnership.

Parker and Veronica Neave’s most recent collaboration Happy as Larry has toured Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and New Zealand International Arts Festivals, the UK, France and next year will tour five states across Australia on a national tour.

Now, it's time for this dynamic duo to return to the studio and continue to give audiences what they do best- thrilling theatrical experiences that defy what dance is and what dance can be.

THIS MEANS WE NEED TO RAISE $7000

To make our dream possible, we need the help of our friends, families, supporters and followers. We’re doing this through the crowd funding website Pozible and every little bit counts. We humbly appreciate your support to help us reach our goal.

Our budget breakdown. 

$2400 flight for Shaun 

$2400 flight for Veronica 

$1200 accommodation for both 

$480 ground transfers

$200 visa application 

$320 meals 

(All studio space and equipment supplied in-kind)

In return for donations, we are offering rewards depending on the amount pledged.

To support this unique opportunity we need to raise $7000 by December 31. If our $7000 target is not reached, none of the donations are debited and we will have to cancel our project.
