The world needs The Islamic Globe – of that there is no doubt – because you told us so. 27,000 readers every week – up from the 5,000 we started with. And why?
Because we produce news and analysis that is true, faithful, independent and honest. We don’t play to the egos of the big advertisers and we don’t tell untruths.
As the great Walter Lippman once said, “There can be no higher law in journalism than to tell the truth and to shame the devil”. And that is what The Islamic Globe does – because no one else will.
Islamic finance is growing globally so the numbers of people wanting to know what is going on is growing globally too. The Islamic Globe is for them as well as you.
Over the past year we have produced the best newspaper the Islamic finance world has ever seen and we want to continue to do so. But to continue to do that we need your backing and your support. We do not want your charity – every dollar you spend with us will bring you real, tangible rewards.
We tried to get support from the big advertisers – and I personally wrote to some of the richest Muslim entrepreneurs in the world asking for their support – but it was not forthcoming. And that is why we need you.
As before you will be able to read the newspaper every Wednesday morning on a digital device of your choice.

At the start of 2011 I conceptualized and launched The Islamic Globe.
Along the way I formed a partnership with a great editor called John Foster – and he helped me produce Islamic Business & Finance – and has done a world-class job editing The Islamic Globe for one year already.Together with some other brilliant and talented partners we have already brought one year's worth of The Islamic Globe to the world. And we intend to carry on doing so with your backing. We tell the news in a dynamic way and have reporters on the ground in Asia, Africa and America. We search for real stories, we don’t reprint press releases or get fed stories like the big news agencies. And also we’re 100% committed to Islamic finance – it’s all we do, so it’s number one on our agenda, as opposed to being no. 47 in the agenda of other international newspapers.
Our funding goal is Aus$100,000 - and every cent will be spent on producing The Islamic Globe - writers, designers, tech people, rent, electricity and so on.
