MEBOAT
A New three dimensional design
NO POUNDING
The Meboat is a revolutionary boat design that has been Patented, Designed and built by Peter de Jong.
This new boat design uses a unique three dimensional shaped hull below the water line were it counts.
Combining the hull of a flat bottom boat, the hull of a conventional vee boat with the unique smaller centre vee shaped from the swift sleek design of a fish.
This unique combination allows the boat to effortlessly go head on through forward or following seas up and over waves with out pounding or tracking
The combination of the three hulls in the new modernised design of the Meboat gives you less water resistance and no pounding with the turning accuracy and speed of a fish.
This allows more moveability and power to the bottom weighted self standing hull .
The boat now has the power not the wave.
At a young age I was always interested in the way different objects moved through the water,
my fascination with this began as a small boy I was trying to learn how to water ski behind a boat
falling off more times than I can count but fascinated with the way the ski moved through the water and wondering why and how.
This started off many years of thinking about different ideas and designs.
Having spent twenty years in the boating industry repairing fibreglass boats from leading brands
of all types and seeing how they handle in the rough and smooth seas.
I decided to start putting those ideas and design to work.
My aim was to design a more fuel efficient boat with less pounding and better turning accuracy on waves than
any other boat on the market.
With lots of research and long hours of hard work mixed with some imagination,
The end result is Meboat.
The hull is designed to lean back on the water to save energy,
as you can see the shape has next to no stern drag the hull will plane at very low speed so in rough water
Meboat is planing were the others are not,
This shape will not allow pounding which means less stress on you and the hull.
Has better water dynamics a lower resistance to pass through rough or fast running water in rivers or between waves.
During the testing stage
The Meboat surpassed all my expectations.
With the combination of the two conventional hulls with my new vee shaped from the form of a fish the motor does not need to lift the weight of the hull because of the shape.
The Meboat naturally leans back has less up and down movement from bow to stern.
The pivot point of the hull has been moved forward and the hull has next to no stern drag.
The bow automatically lifts with the forward movement of the motor with the new vee it is more horizontal and not pushing up hill to the water surface.
At a slow speed it has far less resistance when travelling.
My ultimate aim is to get my design into production and expand my design into other area's of the boating industry such as sail boats and jet skies.
I would love to see the Meboat completed and manufactured.
THE NEXT STAGE
Now I am very anxious to get the Meboat to the next stage
This stage being the preparation of the surface of the proto type hull of the Meboat and the purchasing of materials to make the moulds.
I would love to get started on making the moulds by raising enough money to get the materials to get this stage into motion.
To complete this stage requires at least $40,000 in materials and prep work
Fibreglass materials such as Fibreglass matting, marine grade resin, flowcoat, gelcoat, etc
Any and all help with this stage would be greatly appreciated
