The Conservatorium is a exhibition of artworks in jars. 80 artists from Perth and a handful from overseas and interstate have been invited to contribute. The list of artists is hugely impressive ranging from established artists to recent graduates. We are both young, emerging artists ourselves and have only recently found out that we did not receive a grant we were expecting. This is a hugely exciting and ambitious project and we just need a bunch of cash to pull it off!
Funds will go primarily to: install materials, printing, catering and to sending artworks back to our more distant artists!

ABOUT THE CONSERVATORIUM
The Conservatorium is a exhibition of artworks in jars. The show is made up of contributions from 80 invited artists, all of whom were given the brief that their work must be at least partially contained within a glass, plastic or ceramic jar. The resultant artworks resonate as an industrious investigation into containment, seeing and preserving. Curated by Anna Dunnill and Renae Coles, The Conservatorium is the first exhibition to take place in Perth’s newest ARI, Paper Mountain and is a part of FRINGE WORLD Festival, Perth 2012.
