Beth Sheldon returned from Europe bursting with an idea for a musical female roving act -

- but of long blonde hair,

and songs that would enchant and make people smile from the inside out..... and maybe even sing along if they can sing while giggling!


The Sirens were only created a year ago and have been weaving their magic in Perth from the Joondalup Festival (THANKS Nicole Warren, and photographer Jasper Cook!);

We've been quite busy getting around here in Perth, that we feel it's time for The Sirens to go global!

We love bringing joy to people of all ages, simply by roving and playing our songs, and we've got an opportunity to perform in Pennibilli and Merano Italy, AND the Glastonbury Festival UK in June.... with hopefully more to be confirmed!

PLUS this is a FANTASTIC opportunity for us to experience other roving acts and work with directors and performers overseas who we can learn from, how to develop and improve our act with some European flair.

We realise that we need some help, to keep The Sirens growing and shining as roving performers, and your generosity would be so greatly appreciated, we'd serenade your souls for forever.... (and you'll feel really REALLY great that you helped a little Perth group get across overseas to not only share the magic we have created here in WA, but to learn and develop our skills too and bring back a more polished act to Australia!)

There are 3 of us. And we like the number 3. So after fees are paid to Pozible, we're hoping to get around $1000 each to help pay back the cost of the flights to Europe and back.

And if we get beyond our target (thanks in advance!), then after paying for the flights, any extra money will go towards working with directors and other roving act performers, who can help us develop our act. And if there's any we can spare, it will go towards accommodation and/ or extra travel expenses to get to the next Festival.

And beyond that? It will be in a Sirens emergency fund for instruments, costumes, and creating opportunities for the Sirens to work with European performers to improve our performance skills as a roving group, and to be able to play in other towns and cities while we're in Europe.

Challenges? If we don't get this financial support, we will be self funding, and sailing there on a bass...
Self funding can be tricky for musicians, but regardless, we've decided we're going to Europe, and we'll help each other out as much as we can.
We feel it's more important to be there and experience and learn how to improve our act more, and bring back some European influences perhaps! Because it's worth it.
Another obstacle is the time frame to reach our target. Our plan is to reach out to as many people as possible and as quickly as possible! (So if you're reading this, please consider making a pledge)
