Altruman is a top-notch superhero - the stuff that action blockbusters are made of. But on the home front he's dealing with health problems, family feuds and intimacy issues. This six-part web series follows the parts of Altruman's life that don't involve crime fighting, but present him his greatest challenge - being human.
The original 'Altruman' short film was written, filmed and edited in a single weekend for the 48 Hour Film Project, Melbourne. Convinced that there was more to the story, the Altruman team put their heads together to come up with five brand new 5-7 minute scripts and a plan for how to make them on a tiny budget.
With a professional cast and crew ready to volunteer their time, the team just needs some extra funds to get the project over the line and make it sparkle.
This is on top of the budget we are already contributing ourselves to cover equipment hire, transport, insurance and catering, plus the generous donation of time, talent and equipment from our cast and crew.
As rewards, we're offering something really exclusive, and no, it's not a DVD.
Every donation of $50 or more will receive a pair of signature Altruman underpants.
Higher donations will also receive a signed copy of The Little Stevies' album 'Attention Shoppers', from which the theme song to Altruman is taken.
There are also corporate packages which include promotional space in the credits of every episode. Businesses should get in touch with us to discuss how we can customise their package.
Every donation of $25 or more receives a ticket to the Altruman launch party, a fully catered and exclusive event, and all donations receive a thank you in the credits.
