Hey all! 

Cheers for jumping over to my pledge campaign - chances are if you're here, you're a pretty great person who has been following my music career....or you're just so deep into a Facebook stalk that there really isn't any going back. Either way - that's totes cool.

Here's who I am, here's what I do, now I'm gonna lay it down for you - I'm going to be one of those cliche people who says that music is my life, because let's be real - it's true. I'm that weirdo who will watch a TV show whilst listening to music at the same time, or playing guitar, or writing a song.....I can't focus on one thing at a time because music is inside my head slaying any chance of me having normal concentration, and you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. When I was just a wee tacker I spent many an hour sitting in the corridor outside of the school classroom because I would be kicked out for singing/tapping/dancing to some form of music which 90% of the time wasn't actually playing....it was purely in my head. Looking back now, this was probably just a sign of a head injury. A beautiful head injury that blessed me with all kinds of musical joy - from TLC, to Lauryn Hill, to Shania Twain, to the queen Britney herself. Yes that's right, I am a country artist who doesn't only listen to country music!

I was one of those kids who would sing to themselves around the house and thought to themselves, 'wow, I think that may actually be a little bit in tune.....what do we do about this?', so I started singing lessons when I was around 15, and started doing some performances when I was around 17/18. Anything from school performances, to musicals, to acoustic gigs. Fast forward a few years to 2012 when I was accepted into the CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth.....this was when shit got real. I had always enjoyed country music and thought about pursuing it, but this gave me the knowledge and the motivation to really get everything into gear! Many many gigs followed, many acoustic Spice Girls covers, and a few billion hours of songwriting......

In May 2015 I released by debut EP, 'Dreams' - produced by Brad Bergen of Little Red Wagon Studios in Sydney. 'Dreams' featured some great co-writes with some of the finest australian songwriters including Tamara Stewart, Drew McAlister, and Karl Broadie. On its release day Dreams shot straight up the national iTunes country charts, and spawned 3 singles - 2 of which reached top 40 radio spots. Since then, I have continued to write more music, having written some new songs with some more amazing artists including Aleyce Simmonds, Hayley Marsten and Drew McAlister. I am so bloody keen to get back in the studio and start recording my 2nd EP, and hopefully get that out to the world towards the end of 2017. BUT.....I need your help.....

I NEED PLEDGES!!! What is a pledge you may ask? A pledge is basically a donation towards a campaign, and in return (if you so wish), you can receive all kinds of goodies - copies of CD's, house concerts, t-shirts, stubbie holders etc. Asking for pledges can often be a bit of a taboo topic....but let's look at it this way......consider your pledge an upfront payment for some goodies which you will receive down the track!!

The cost of making a new EP is a lot more than many people would expect.....check out the list in the next section. Yes, I do work full time myself, however like everyone else, I also have expenses falling out of my face such as car payments, mortgage repayments, rent, insurance etc, and I wouldn't be asking if I didn't really need the assistance! Yes, Daniela from Scandal'us came to 2 of my gigs and we became best friends and I still haven't had the guts to tell her I had 2x copies of their album including the signed one I won from K-Zone magazine which I still have cos I know it will be worth a billion dollars one day.

For the recording of my new release I will be working with multiple producers including Brad Bergen from Little Red Wagon Studios (Springwood NSW) who did the production of my last EP (https://www.facebook.com/littleredwagonstudios), as well as MSquared Productions (Melbourne VIC), which is managed by Michael Paynter and Michael DeLorenzis (http://msquaredproductions.com.au)

Recording fees (inc. GST) = $11,600.00

Photography & design = $1500.00

Printing/pressing = $1500.00

Promotion = $3000.00

Music videos = $5500 per single

Total = $23,100.00

Yes I will be putting every spare dollar of my life towards this, but as you can see.....this is no small task. I need help! (both I and my therapist agree on this).

Like practically everything else in the world.....money is the main challenge! We all have bills, mortgages, car repayments, insurance, pasta addictions etc which take up a large part of our cashola funds....

If you are a pledger to my campaign, I don't take that lightly. That to me is a sign that you not only respect me as an artist, but as a person (you're brave let's be real), and you're donating your hard earned money towards helping me achieve a massive goal of mine. The fact you have done this will not only push me to get this done to the best of my ability, because I want to make you guys proud, but it will also terrify me to my core cos me and pressure don't mix well....I'm like a mentos, just bubbling away in the pepsi max bottle of life. I don't know where I'm going with this. Long story short, it will motivate me.

Also, one thing that making a record requires is time. Something I don't have a lot of, working a full time job which can be insanely demanding, so I'm going to need to take some time off work.....somehow, I have to pay my bills/rent/mortgage (yes i have both cos I'm weird) in this time....no I'm not going to use your money to pay my mortgage, I will use my own.....but that will be less of my own money to go towards the EP - hence where you come in, you bloody lovely person.

ATTENTION ALL - this is an ALL OR NOTHING campaign. If I don't reach the full target by the cut-off date.....I don't earn a thing....that means this 2 hours spent of writing this all up with have been worthless (believe me though, I will still get that darn CD made, it will just take longer!!) so get this campaign to your friends, to yo wife, to yo kids.....downgrade from the soy latte today, just get a babycino instead....bam there's like $3 saved.....HELP ME PLS......

All I'm trying to achieve from this campaign is $5000.....however anything on top of that that we do achieve is purely a blessing....and as such, I believe a blessing earned deserves one in return, so every single dollar over $5000 will be donated to Beyond Blue.
