Bella Toscana is a series of photographs captured in and around Tuscany, Italy.

So, I have my flights booked, and a few couches to crash on, and I'm just about ready to pack my bags. I've even spent the last 3 months learning Italian in preparation. The only problem? Although my flights do allow me to see a little of the Tuscan countryside in Italy, I fear it won't be enough time to capture a full photographic exhibition. By sponsoring the project, not only do you get a bunch of cool rewards from me (e il mio amore per sempre), but you get to see me realise my dream of having a full exhibition of my work.

My aim is to capture not only the beautiful Italian countryside, but the diverse characters of the people who inhabit it. Though my prime focus has always been portraiture, and a bulk of the work will be dedicated to people, I also aim to use techniques of long exposure and panorama to shoot a series of landscapes.
The budget is modest. That's because although I enjoy the support of people like you, I do fund my own art. I will be funding the flights over to Europe, and all equipment necessary while I am there. The fund pays for accommodation while I shoot in Tuscany, transport or tours which take me out to the otherwise inaccessible countryside, and also gratuities for the kind Italians who may help me along the way.
What if I exceed the minimum? This is not a simple, nor a cheap project, but I am committed to it. Exceeding the budget here means more time to shoot, it means extra days of scooter hire to get to the furthest reaches of the Tuscan countryside. It means buying a box of chocolates for all of the lovely people who help me out over there. It means more postcards to my Mum and supportive friends. It means extra DVD-Rs to send the photos back to Australia by post in case anything goes wrong mid-flight. What's more, it means I can get the photos into a gallery even faster.
Final images will be exhibited in Sydney or Melbourne, and available for sale there, however Pozible sponsors of a certain level will be able to choose their favourite images for print, and framing, before this exhibition occurs. One of the rewards, a limited edition book, including an entire series of photographs will be available as part of a limited run, and sponsors who elect to receive this reward (and more) will be thanked, by name, in the publication. Any, or all of the rewards you choose can be accompanied by an autograph and signed statement of authenticity if you so wish.
