We’re bringing a unique reinterpretation of the musical Pippin to Sydney this December and we’d love to reward all those who get behind us.
With music by Stephen Schwartz (Oscar winner and composer of Wicked) and book by Roger O. Hirson, this show takes two real historical characters and fills in the blanks with a distinct lack of accuracy.
A motley group of travelling performers gather a crowd and present the story of Prince Pippin. Fresh-faced, idealistic and recently graduated from University, Pippin can't decide what to do with his life. Guided by the troupe in his search for "something completely fulfilling" Pippin is shown acts of magic, drag, burlesque, puppetry and circus but left feeling empty and unfulfilled.
This show is an exploration of what it means to be starting out as an adult. As recent graduates and young artists this show connects directly with our lives and we want to share it with the people we know and people we are yet to meet.
